[RP TownTalk] Expand MARC service to Baltimore?

Hello,

Would you like to take the MARC train to Orioles games?  Or other Baltimore
things on the weekends/evenings?  I've tried to do it and the current
solution involves taking a train to BWI and transferring to an Amtrak and
it is not easy or reliable at all.

Wouldn't it be nice to leave from the Riverdale Park station and arrive by
train right next to the stadium?  I've created a petition to measure
interest, and maybe if enough people sign it from surrounding communities,
the MTA will expand service for games?

The Baltimore Orioles have one of the most beautiful baseball stadiums ever
built.  It is a great family friendly stadium, and for a toddler, taking
a TRAIN to a BASEBALL GAME is as close to nirvana as it gets.  Sadly, there
is no way for people who live in the DC area to take public transportation
to baseball games in Baltimore, even though the MARC commuter train runs
from Union Station to Camden Yards during the weekday commuting hours.

My guess is people in DC, Cheverly, Hyattsville, University Park,
Riverdale, College Park, Beltsville, Greenbelt and Laurel would all like
MARC to take them out to the ball game!  Please sign this petition to ask
the Maryland Transit Administration to provide MARC service before and
after baseball games!
