    STIHL will have new models of mowers, blowers, and chain saws for demo, and they will be handing out free stuff including hats!   
There will be FREE CAKE from Shortcake Bakery at noon, in celebration of the Hyattsville Horticultural Society's centennial birthday!  
Then sit in the multipurpose room to hear and see the presentation from Thomas Rainer, co-author of Planting in a Post-Wild World!  He will have books available for sale afterwards, if anyone wants to learn more.
The amazing, skillful folks from our Local 5 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union will be showing the deluxe rainbarrels they have procured for us!  Anyone from Prince George's County can preorder one, AND get assistance ON THE SPOT in applying for the Rain Check Rebate, which will make these beautiful barrels FREE.  Union apprentices will also be offering free training and assistance, for those who need it, to install these rainbarels at home. Dry out your basement, water your garden, minimize local flooding and protect the bay, all at once!
