10-session parenting workshop & Book Club

Classes for Parents With Challenging Kids
PARENT CHILD JOURNEY

For caregivers who have kids with challenging behaviors, the Parent Child
Journey course was designed by Dr. Dan Shapiro to help parents identify the
source of their child’s behavior and learn what they can do about it.
During each class, the instructor describes proactive strategies for
raising children with difficult temperaments and developmental differences.
Designed to address the needs of families with children from preschool age
through early adolescence, caregivers will learn to customize their
approach to fit their child’s unique profile.

Sarah Wayland, Ph.D. will be teaching one of the sections of the Parent
Child Journey class in Riverdale Park, MD (between College Park &
Hyattsville) starting January 10th. Dr. Shapiro will teach his sections in
Rockville starting Feb 1st, and in Potomac starting April 10th.

BOOK CLUB

Our quarterly book club meetings are a chance to reconnect with other
parents while exploring a range of topics related to raising children. Come
to the book club ready to discuss what you learned while reading the book
selected for that session - what you liked, what was useful, and what
didn't make sense. The book club meetings will be highly interactive with
lots of discussion.

Jeanne Schindler has graciously offered to host these book clubs at her
home in Hyattsville Maryland. Once you complete your registration, I will
send you her address and phone number.

Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m.
