Have you ever had a moment where you’ve realized that you were late to the
party, that you’ve spent too much energy on trying to please the wrong
people or you’ve been deceived by those closest to you? If the answer is
yes then the rock-inflected folk music of DC-based artist Matt Tarka will
speak directly to you. Weaving isolated moments of heartbreak and rejection
into his songs he continues the traditions of artists such as Tom Petty,
Wilco and Carole King.

*Friday 9/22 8PM Linda Harris w Lighthouse Collective $10*

Linda Harris returns to Robert Harper Books with the Lighthouse Collective
playing Jazz and Blues standards. $15 Refreshments.

*SATURDAY 9/23 Y'All PendYall $10 *

Y'all Pendyal is Anuraag Pendyal on piano and Jim Lande on sax. Both sing.
Anuraag is a full time musician in New Orleans playing both written and
improvised music. Jim is a regular at the Archie Edwards Blues Heritage
Foundation and jazz jams in the area. Together, they will play a mix of
jazz, blues and pop. They will be joined by a few friends and will play
music that has been popular in clubs as well as on the street. . A few of
their tunes can be found on YouTube by searching "Y'all Pendyal"
Sitting in is encouraged.
