I love meadows and wild flowers.  Wish we could do that.  Years ago I used to go to the area where all the School is, the Physics Bldg etc and lay amongst the wild flowers and watch the sun rise or the sun set.  So peaceful to gather your thoughts.  But the wild life might get hit by angry cars.   Emily.

What if we planted wildflowers in the median like Ladybird Johnson encouraged us to do? Then we could tell SHA that they don't have to mow!

As to Wells Run, I'm hoping someone who actually knows what is going on there will weigh in, but I know that the Army Corps of Engineers has changed their attitude towards our natural waterways from viewing them as "something to be controlled" to "something to be enhanced" so they can do what they naturally should do, without threatening peoples homes.

I respectfully disagree... those "weeds" are acting as meadows, essentially, which is prime pollinator habitat.  It would be awesome if we could un-culvert Wells Run (the creek that runs through and under there) and have those plants grow alongside. It would help immensely with our flooding issues, too.
