The Holiday Mt. Rainier Craft Fair is still accepting applications for participation! New this year, all applications will be reviewed by a jury of Mt. Rainier community members, business owners and prior craft fair participants. Accepted crafters will be asked to pay a $70 vendor fee to participate in the event.Established over 20 years ago in a community member’s living room, the craft fair has moved from houses to community centers to church basements until it eventually ended up at Joe’s Movement Emporium with the opening of Joe’s new facility in 2008.
Since then the fair has gone through a number of wonderful community leaders and crafters. NEW THIS YEAR, Joe’s Movement Emporium has taken over the management and execution of the Mt. Rainier Craft Fair. Joe’s is changing up the process a bit with a new online application that asks applicants to upload photos of their set up/presentation as well photos of their products.
A number of jury members have been selected from the Mt. Rainier, MD community including business owners, past Craft Fair organizers, and community members. Jury will be judging applications based on:
• Quality & Craftsmanship
• Originality & Uniqueness
• Marketability & Variety of Items
• Presentation and Photos
A number of past Craft Fair participants have already applied along with a number of new crafters, artisans and artists this year. Application deadline has been extended to September 14! Apply now or share this link: http://bit.ly/CraftFairApp with those who should apply!
