RPBA to Get the Skinny on Riverdale Park Station

The Station’s SPM Lydia Chandlee to Focus on Area Impact, Growth and Future

RIVERDALE PARK, MD., Sept. 10, 2019 – Riverdale Park Station Senior
Property Manager Lydia C. Chandlee will be the featured guest of the
Riverdale Park Business Association at its monthly meeting, Wednesday,
Sept. 11. The meeting begins at 6 pm at Burtons Grill & Bar in Riverdale
Park Station.

Chandlee will give RPBA members an update and overview of the 36-acre
master-planned community which will contain 119 townhouses, 850 apartment
units, 160,000 square feet of retail space, 20,000 square feet of office
space and a 120-room Hyatt House boutique hotelat its full build out. She
will discuss the project’s impact on Riverdale Park and the greaterRiverdale
area, provide insight on possible new retail tenants. Chandlee will also
take audience questions.

Chandlee, who has worked in property management for about 15 years, spent
nine years atColumbia, MD’s mixed-use development, Maple Lawn, where she
later managed nearly half- a-million square feet of commercial space. In
between she took time off to raise a family, thenreturned to work as a
property manager for Good Will’s vast 22-store portfolio. A year and a half
ago she was selected by Calvin Cafritz Enterprises to manage its new mixed
use gem in Riverdale Park. She is employed through the management firm,
Cushman & Wakefield.

She was a good choice to head one of Prince George’s County’s premier mixed-use
projects. She knows the area like few do. Chandlee grew up in Mount Rainier
– she still attends St. James Catholic Church there – before her family
bought farmland in Upper Marlboro. She graduated from Bowie State College
with a degree in international relations hoping to one day become a
diplomat. It was smart preparation on her part since as senior property
manager she must campaign, lobby, and negotiate deals every day. When the
project is fully built-out,

Join dozens of your fellow businesses every second Wednesday of the month
at 6 pm to discuss area business and development growth and opportunities
that could expand your business horizons and learn how others have cut
through the maze of hurdles and obstacles put in businesses way by
oh-so-helpful regulators. The good news is that often those same regulators
are in attendance and are genuinely open to hearing concerns of the
business community and working with us. Good communication is a key element
to moving forward and RPBA provides that platform.

its focus. If you own and operate a business in Riverdale Park, Greater
Riverdale or the surrounding communities, join us and help ignite a
thriving business environment in Greater Riverdale. We meet on the Second
Monday of the Month at 6 pm. Usually meetings are held in Riverdale Park

that takes our meetings to our members’ establishments or a rotating basis.
And that’s the FUN part!

will conduct meetings in Greater Riverdale Area businesses to showcase
those businesses and provide RPBA members with an on-going toolkit to
success. Members will also get news and information, and an eye on business
