Karen,
I am so sorry to hear about this unfortunate situation. It makes me
understand how grateful I should be that I was home when my car was stolen 4
weeks ago from my front yard... but no one entered my house or tried to harm
me. Good to know your husband was not harmed, yet I can't imagine the
emotional strain for him and you.

I am still not clear on the process for searching for my car, but I want to
let you
know that the MVA had me to complete a stolen tags form, but, they told me
that the
car would not be flagged in their system unless the police department who
took the report filed a special report. So make sure your tags are flagged
in their system,
otherwise, like my car, it could be sitting out there for weeks without
anything showing in the system that the car is a stolen vehicle. It could
be sitting in some neighborhood
right now, but if a neighbor phoned in a strange car, as of last Thursday
the MVA had nothing in their system that would send an alert to me or anyone
else that the car had been located.

If anyone knows anything about the steps one should take to search various
impoundment lots or other places, please share with us. Thank you in
advance.
