[RP TownTalk] Traffic concerns

Hello Riverdale Park neighbors. I live in Hyattsville on Queensbury Road and rush hour and weekend traffic has beeen and still growing into a nightmare issue. There is a lot of cut-through traffic, drivers do not heed signs, there are way too many (empty) buses traveling through this road that don't really service our residents and noise, dust and pollution are not minor issues either. Since the shopping mall added Target, traffic on my road must have at least doubled. Even on weekends now there are cars lined up for blocks down QB. With all this development happening both in Hyattsville and Riverdale Park, we need to look at ways to stem traffic volume. I know we all want smart, constructive development, but our officials don't seem to be concerned with the long term negative impact that some of the decisions - or lack thereof- will have on our communities, property values and quality of life. Unfortunately I cannot attend tonight's traffic meeting in College Park, but I ema
iled Will Campos again (if I am not wrong, he is on the County's traffci committee) and I will contact Mr. Todd Turner with my concerns. Hyattsville and Riverdale Park ought to work together to find a solution for this situation.
