There is no excuse for anyone to use the yard as a toilet. Besides being disgusting it is a health hazard.
The home owner will have a hard time selling a property in shapt that one is headed for.
Looked at it today and all the beer cans were nicley piled up in a bin.... so I guess they are trying....
I must say,
I have had no problem getting the police out when I have caught people peeing on my yard or in to Wells creek off the street side of the bridge.
I told one guy who was peeing on a tree at the edge of my yard to go find a toilet and he replyed "this looks like a toilet to me".
The amount of people using the great outdoors as a toilet in this town is appauling, and I don't mean only urination, just ask any dog walker about some of the sights they come across on a daily basis.

I have the same problem with public urination, and worse. My neighbors are constructing a shack on cinderblocks in their back yard, and from time to time people have stayed in it for days on end. Welcome to my very own third world country…..

Because I am in Real Estate, a resident sent me this email for information. I asked her if I could share it with the town. Maybe we can come up with some solutions if we put our heads together.

>I just wanted to run something by you – I see in multiple listings that there are quite a few houses in foreclosure around Riverdale. I believe the house up on the corner from me that has had a Long and Foster for sale sign on it for quite some time is (possibly) being rented out till they find someone to buy it. The address is 4710 Somerset Rd. – there is junk all over the place and the place is atrocious – high grass, etc. (they were cutting the grass in the rain yesterday). Last night while taking Broccoli for a walk I saw a guy (he looked to be Hispanic) urinating on the wall of the house – I yelled out “Are you urinating in the yard? That is against the law and considered a public nuisance and indecent exposure and we don’t tolerate that in this neighborhood” – there was a black guy on the porch – he came out then and did the same thing. I called the police but no one came. Do you know what we can do about this if
anything? The neighborhood seems to be going down, down, down and this kind of stuff going on is really bad – it might be a crack house or something – I’m going to say something to John, the next door neighbor; I thought he was a policeman but all I ever see him doing is riding his bike or running with his dog. Anyway, it’s a sorry day in H.E.L.L. when you see your neighbors p.i.s.s.i.n.g in their yards…… what do you think?

>Audrey: Yes, we are planning on passing out candy too – I’ll dress up Broccoli but I know he won’t keep whatever it is on him long…. If you go to the Calvert house or anywhere else later let me know. You can email me at home sconnolly12000 at yahoo.com or call me on my cell phone at 240-454-1721. Thanks for the invite – maybe we will walk over if we don’t go anywhere. There’s a Hand Dance at Chesapeake Beach American Legion and maybe we will go there, but I doubt it…..

>There is no pet costume contest this year. I put out an email and no one wanted to volunteer to help and I just didn't have time to do it by myself. So for lack of interest, It was put on the back burner. Maybe next year.
