I agree with you. As a driver, in my opinion, they should raise the speed limits. I can understand 25 miles in a residential neighborhoods, but on the highways the limits should be raised then all the careless drivers who are texting, talking on their phones, eating, putting on their make-up, rubber-necking would not have time to do all of that, they would have to pay attention to what is going on in front, behind, and at the side of them, as for the teen drivers who are bored while driving and so decide to text, etc, let them drive manual cars instead of automatics. See how long they will remain bored behind the wheel.
As for "Big Brother" he is already everywhere, in your GPS navigation system, your cell phone.

Goodness knows I don't like the idea of "Big Brother" watching every move we
make. And as a non-driver I can't really say the speed cameras affect me all
that much. However, it's my own humble opinion if knowing there's cameras out
there makes people be even a BIT more careful about their driving habits, if it
helps save lives, then that is a good thing. Having seen innocent people who
were killed or injured by careless drivers and KNOWING that most, if not all, of
these accidents could've been prevented, it really makes you think. JMO, of
course.
