[RP TownTalk] painting question

Hi. 

I'm wondering if anyone has recently gotten any painting done. I got an estimate from a company doing a Service Alley deal and I'm now wondering if it was a good idea to go this route. For 3 rooms and a hallway, with 2 coats of paint of several different colors, the estimate is $2375. I'm providing the paint, he provides everything else, and will do minor repair of some plaster cracks, etc.  The room dimensions are 10x11, 9x11, 11x16, and 5x11 for the hallway. The cost seems like a lot to me, and I just wanted to see how it seems to someone else.  


And if anybody has recently gotten painting done by someone they recommend, that would be great to know too, since I'm not sure how this is going to go.
