They used to taxi the ERCO planes from the plant to the airstrip down what  
is approximately now Rivertech court, where Raytheon,  NOAA and USDA 
buildings are now, and across River Road (none of which  was there at the time).  
It's a surprise to see how many air fields there  were in this area in the 
infancy of aviation.  The history of airflight and  this area is fascinating 
even for non-aviation buffs.
