It has, but I really wish we would stop assuming that because someone
supports development of a particular sort, that they are getting a
kickback/payoff/etc. We certainly have had some bad actors in our
county, and it does make us cynical. But I really do think that our
elected officials are trying to do what they think is best for our
communities.

We can choose to disagree about what is best, and how to implement it,
but I'd be grateful if we could do that without implying that the only
reason someone could have a different opinion is because they are
somehow corrupt.

And Nina, I think your points about traffic and parking are *really*
important. It's my very sincere hope that we can work to address those
issues directly with the developers and all other involved parties so
that we end up with something that we are glad to have as part of our
community.
