Howard,
To plan your son's subway journey from North Danville Street in Arlington,
you probably want to find out the name of the nearest Metro station. The
closest subway stop to USDA Riverdale Park , Md. is College Park on the
Green Line, about 800 yards (or less) from USDA on River Road.

If your son chooses not to stay with your Virginia friends and wants to be
on this side of the Potomac, Riverdale Park or College Park are options.
There are available spots in Hyattsville, University Park, College Park,
and Riverdale Park -- The Parks as they are sometimes called. You might
even want to consider posting a request on the Riverdale Park Town Talk
listserve to see if there are openings in houses there. Go to "TownTalk" <
TownTalk at riverdale-park.org> for details.
If all else fails, we still have two rooms in a shared home in Cheverly and
will have to figure a way to get him to RPMD everyday. Here is my
Craigslist posting for Cheverly (and below, for Riverdale Park...)
