Thank you for the reminder; I own guinea pigs now, but when I DID own a dog, I'd always clean up after it, even if I was walking it in the woods where I used to live (I don't like stepping in anything, either!).  Doesn't take but a minute to clean up and it's definitely the right thing to do.  (and people, if the dog messes on the sidewalk, pushing the mess up against the fence in front of a house or apartment building doesn't count as cleaning it up!)

I was out walking the dog this morning and as I walked up the sidewalk in the 4900 block of Ravenswood, I noticed that someone's dog soiled the sidewalk.  I would like to remind all pet owners to clean up after their dogs.   Plastic bags can be tied on the leash, and if you do this as soon as you get home, it is ready for the next time,  Please pet owners be considerate and clean up.
