Agreed; whether or not we agree or disagree with the points made in the posts, speaking for myself, I see/hear enough mudslinging on TV every day for the national elections, don't care to see/read it here.

+1 -- not because of decorum, but because anything that elected officials say on this listserv is not technically on the record.  If you truly want to hold the Town Council accountable for their action or inaction on issues of concern to you, it's not strategic or effective to continue to assail them on this list.  It's far more strategic and effective to actually go to meetings, like the rest of us do when we have concerns, to ask questions and get answers that are on the record.

Mr. Ebbeler -
I grow weary of your ongoing diatribes on TownTalk.  While I don't doubt that many of your concerns are legitimate and worthy of discussion, perhaps you might consider that your tone and the trial of Mr. Archer by passive-aggressive list-service is making at least one constituent deaf to your message.  The daily news is trouble enough, the last thing I want to see when I open TownTalk is a one-way schoolyard fight.  If you're looking to attract people to your message and grow civic engagement, I thought you might like to know that your posts are having the opposite effect on me. Although I am but a simple stay-at-home mother who barely has time to scroll the feeds, I do care about my town.
I encourage you to take your concerns to a Town Council meeting, or to get out and canvass your neighbors, or to hold a public meeting at Town Center.

I will happily attend and buy you and Mr. Archer the first round.
Sincerely,Alison SpainTuckerman St.
