Hello! A friend and I are partnering with Defend Yourself to bring their 10 week Empowerment Self-Defense Intensive to the Rt 1 corridor in July! If flexing the start time to 7pm would impact your consideration, please let us know.

Empowerment Self-Defense Class
We will cover everything from street harassment to defending yourself from the ground; everything from prevention to assertiveness, from physical strikes to healing. You’ll find the power in your own body and mind to learn and practice boundary-setting and clear, direct communication as the foundation of self-defense.
 
 Who: Women, teen girls, trans and gender-nonconforming people age 16+. Open to all abilities, sizes, and fitness levels: You don’t have to be a martial artist or an athlete to help yourself be safer!
 
 When: Tuesdays, July 11 - September 12, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
 
 Where: Hyattsville Mennonite Church, 4217 East-West Highway, Hyattsville, MD. Prince George’s Plaza Metro (Green Line). Metro bus accessible. Partially wheelchair accessible; contact us for details and to request additional accommodations.
