* Thursday, Oct. 17th, 7-9 pm: Bach Brew A classical treat is brewing this October at the Meadworks! Joey Grimmer, Principal Bassoon of the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra /Washington National Opera Orchestra and the Bassoon Professor at the University of Maryland, will bring a chamber group for a doctoral oboe student's dissertation project to the Meadworks. This talented student has transcribed three Bach Harpsichord Partitas for 2 Oboes, English Horn, and Bassoon. We are honored to host her pre-recital performance. Come out and show her some love and support and enjoy an amazing performance with your mead (and Yarnia)!
* Friday, Oct. 18th, 7-10 pm: Jazz Night Featuring the Hyattsville Jazz Collective! This Friday’s hot line-up includes Mike Cemprola on sax, Chris Ziemba on piano, Delorean Fullington on bass, and Terrence Arnett on drums. Don’t miss the best jazz in the DMV right in your own backyard!
* Saturday, October 19th, 7-10 pm: Late Night Underground
LNU is talented local cover band that will have you dancing and singing along to your favorite songs! Comprised of four seasoned musician from the DC suburbs,LNU enjoys engaging crowds with their unique blend of new and classic musical influences. They play an eclectic-but-endearing mixture of pop/rock songs, spanning the 1970s up through present day. In addition, longtime friend of the Meadworks, David Arnold, is their live sound engineer. So, come and show David and LNU some Hyattsville hospitality and try our latest mead!
