Mr. Ebbeler,

Your assertion that you don’t have an agenda is untruthful. In a previous email you posted the following:

Painting a pig still leaves a pig. Perhaps my email left room for misinterpretation. I despise chain link in any form or fashion. I don't care where it is or how it's presented. There are too many other fence and gate applications out there to support the lowest vernacular.

I've offered other acceptable treatments that I would vote in favor for. Chain link will never be one of them”

The email above clearly expresses that you do have an agenda and you do care about fence material. In also points out you actively took the role of designing a fence for a specific use contrary to what the expert testified was the industry standard. In a previous post you point out how complicated it is to determine rear and side yards using corner lots as an example. PG County(MNCPPC) does not have this problem. Since a prerequisite of applying for a fence permit in Riverdale is to obtain a County permit, perhaps you can learn their system (not complicated) or require Riverdale permits be obtained before our citizens waste time and money going to the County first. I think your concern about being sued bears no merit. If the Town approves permits previously approved by the County where is the liability. Wouldn’t the County be sued first? There is more chance of being sued if you force changes in design to meet your standards and something goes wrong. I have many more emails from you that back up everything I have said, to many to post. I think the chain link ban that is being pushed thru under your guidance reflects your agenda and will place economic hardships on some of our residents. I have attached three pictures taken yesterday of the site you that deemed chain link unacceptable for reasons I can’t fathom. Clearly not that it detracted from could be seen from the street or the neighborhood. You may have done many good things for the Town but I don’t believe your esthetics or values should be imposed on all the rest of us. I’m not going to address this again unless you want more evidence of how and why I have come to my conclusions. In fact the site moderator may ban me and if so, I will respect that.

I do care about consistency and clarity. I do care about getting sued. I do care about my taxes going up due to legal fees for indefensible cases of contradictions in the code. I do care about my taxes going up due to the loss of long-standing businesses. I realize many do not and would rather ponder or be passionate about things that have no immediate, material, or financial individual impact - and that is your right.
